10 things prospective Interior Designers Hub students need to know

Are you in a position in life where you know you need to make a change, you have a niggling feeling that you are meant to do something new, challenging and exciting? You have always been curious about interior design and now you have come across the Interior Designers Hub, the opportunity and possibilities are staring right at you, but you’re still not sure.

Here are 10 things you need to know about becoming one of our students.

1 – You’ll walk away with an accredited qualification

We offer a Level 3 Diploma in Interior Design Skills which is a UK government accredited qualification assessed by Ofqual. This qualification will give you the best starting chance at building a successful new career doing something you feel passionately about.

2 – You don’t need to be a creative genius

This course is for anyone who is interested in interior design and is serious about having a career in interior design. Don’t worry if you don’t think you’re creative enough or have incredible artistic skills, a lot of our students who have gone on to launch successful businesses felt the same. We provide you with ALL of the skills and tools you’ll need to become a creative interior designer.

3 - We’re more than a qualification

Not only will you receive the best qualification but you’ll also be part of a mentorship programme, allowing you to learn and grow in a nurturing and supportive environment. You’ll go through a process of developing your skills, knowledge and confidence so you graduate feeling transformed and ready to start your own business.

4 - We’re a community

This isn't a soulless online course, we want to welcome you into our community of students, graduates and inspirational business owners who have already taken the journey you’re on. You’ll be invited in to a private Facebook Group where your questions will be expertly answered and you can reach out and start making business buddies.

5 - Hello flexible learning!

Enrolling on this course is life changing, but we know a lot of our students are holding down other jobs and running a family household which can be tricky. The course is completely online and is self-paced. So, you have the freedom and flexibility to gain your qualification around your life.

6 - No exams - hurrah!

You’ll be assessed through the coursework you produce with your modules, so no exams which means less pressure especially if like a lot of our students, you have a family and other commitments in your life.

7 - Learn everything there is to know

The course is split into 10 modules covering the fundamentals of interior design from colour theory, drawing plans, space planning to lighting and everything in between. Each module contains around 20 hours of study time.

8 - Learn and grow together

Unlike other courses, the Interior Designers Hub diploma encourages community and friendship. You’ll be able to network with your peers who are also at the very start of their new life, as well as those who are in the next phase of setting up their business so you’ll have a varied pool of people to learn and grow with.

When you enrol, you will be invited to a virtual Welcome Party, where we will show you around the educational platform so you feel familiar and comfortable straight away.

A few times a year (restrictions permitting), you’ll have the chance to meet with your mentors and peers in person at networking events, exhibitions and meet-ups. This is a wonderful opportunity to build friendships.

9 – Supporting you every step of the way

Once you graduate with your qualification, we don’t just hand you your diploma and send you on your way. We want to make sure you have the support and guidance you need to create a career of your dreams and a sustainable business.

You’ll be invited into the Hub Insiders Members Area where we hold your hand as you set-up your business. The community will still be there for you and we encourage graduates to lean on those who have had the experience and learn from them within the community we provide.

10 – Knowledge is power

We understand that jumping into a completely new career is daunting and we wouldn’t want to enrol anyone who isn't completely sure that this is the right path to take. That’s why we have created a five day challenge, giving you a taste of what being an interior designer is actually like. Sign-up >>here<<.
